It’s no surprise that Farmers & Fishers’ Chief Mixologist Jon Arroyo gets invited to all kinds of different mixology / cocktail / spirited events, so it was great fun to see him as a featured speaker at “Happy Birthday Mr. Daiquiri” event hosted by the Museum of the American Cocktail.

On November 19, Jon joined fellow mixologists and daiquiri experts Jeff “Beachbum” Berry, Derek Brown of The Gibson, and Phil Greene to present the classic and classically inspired versions of the daquiri and the modern variations of it.

Jon with Maryland Tiki expert Brian Lopina

A packed (!) room at the Occidental on a cool, rainy night was enlightened (and imbibed!) with the stories behind the drinks and the recipes that each of the presenters shared. As the Cabana Cachaca brand ambassador for the region, Jon shared his daiquiri version of the Caipirinha, a light and tasty, minty concoction easily made at home.
