Fashion’s Night Out on Friday, September 10

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010
On Friday September 10, Georgetown will stay up late for Fashion’s Night Out, an evening of style, fashion, shopping and dining for a good cause. Proceeds from many retailers and restaurants, including Farmers & Fishers, will benefit Labels for Love, a local organization that raises awareness for women’s and children’s charities.

From 6:00 to 11:00 pm, come to Farmers & Fishers for specialty cocktails and dessert!  Purchase a $5 cocktail card from models promenading the Washington Harbour and redeem it at Farmers & Fishers for your choice of: The Madras Plaid (Cap Rock Organic Vodka, cranberry juice and orange juice) or The Brown Derby (Jim Beam Black, honey syrup and grapefruit juice).

And for dessert…Show your server receipts totaling $100 or more in purchases from shopping in Georgetown that day, and select a sweet treat on us.

September 10 promises to be an exciting night of shopping, delicious food and high-style cocktails!

Join us for the Artini Feature Cocktail Night TONIGHT!

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010
Thursday, March 18
6:30pm–8:30pm

“The Proof”, oil on canvas, Jean-Louis Forain

Join Farmers & Fishers’ Chief Mixologist Jon Arroyo as he shakes and pours his Artini cocktail, “Case in Point,” for the first time at the Artini feature TONIGHT. Jon is competing with 11 other top mixologists for the most artistic cocktail inspired by a piece from the Corcoran Gallery of Art’s William A. Clark Collection, and he’s certainly made a case for his masterful mixology skills with this one!

Jon’s muse of the imbibed is Forain’s courtroom drama (above), where proof exonerates the innocent or condemns the guilty. He presents his own proof using the French, high-proof Remy Martin VSOP with a mix of raspberries, limes, orange bitters and ginger syrup topped with a Pernod absinthe foam….a complex yet carefully framed concoction that may have you telling the truth after just one—after all, there is no liquor with a higher proof than absinthe!

Jon’s cocktail will be judged by a jury of his peers – you! Register your vote for “Case in Point” to find the judgment on this case. Then join the 1869 Society and the Artini Host Committee at the Artini benefit on Saturday, March 27th to help raise funds for the Corcoran’s Art Reach programs because all parties deserve to face their accusers.
